21. A few things-
1) can somebody please post or email me the wetbsite to see the 17 minute long video that comment 15 is talking about. the only one i have been able to find is the 5 or so minute clip with those people trying to determine what happened.
2) i see what you are talking about at around 5 minutes with the shark or person or whatever, what is that? it looks like a diver to me, but why would somebody else be in the water down there with him and not be shown on any other shots? and if it was a shark why do you not see any other part of it or hear him screaming. if i even saw a shark coming close to me i would scream, but thats just me.
3) ok i have never been diving so i know nothing about it, but if he did use too much weight, why cant he just unclip it as he's falling and be able to go back up? please dont make fun of me, i am totally ignorant when it comes to diving, i know nothing about it, which is why im asking.
4) he didnt seem to be panicing on the way down, but once he gets to the bottom it looks like hes trying to run away from something.

please if anybody can tell me where to see the full video clip i would greatly appreciate it. i want to see the full 17 minute long version. please post the wetsite or email me at eallison@r1mortgage.net

22. A quick translation in my own words of the interesting comment in German above, made by a naval diver:

As you know, it is common to open the air valve fully and then close it a quarter or half of a turn in order to spare the valve from wear and tear. It is possible that Yuri performed this procedure twice, ie the valve was almost completely closed when Yuri started his dive.

There are two pieces of evidence for this: first, the sound that by some has been identified as the word "help". The naval diver says he has already heard this sound twice, it is the sound of a high pressure of the regulator falling below the medium pressure.

The second piece of evidence is that, when Yuri is at the bottom and loses the regulator from his mouth and the regulator free-flows, the flow of air would be much greater if the air valve to the tank would have been fully open.

Panic probably struck Yuri when the regulator could at depth no longer supply enough air, due to the almost-closed valve - as you know, a larger amount of air has to be supplied at depth.

23. Jack,
his buddy could've helped out a ton and saved his life. His buddy was a very skilled deep diver who had dove the blue hole too many times to count. Most likely is that he would not have panicked. He could've ditched Yuri's weight belt, inflated his bc, and keep him under control. Most likely they would get bent but its alot better than dying.

24. dive girl got it %100 correct. she got it RIGHT. Reviewed over and over and over and too many more times. dive girl is correct.
