Cayman Digital Madness will take place from September 16-23 on Grand Cayman. Featuring more than $30,000 in prizes, Cayman Digital Madness will provide the opportunity for digital shutterbugs to "Party, Dive, Learn and Shoot Digital." Both beginners and pros are welcome to submit their photos, but all images submitted for judging MUST be taken during the week. With categories ranging from Creature Feature, Underwater Icon, and The Big Picture, if you have a specialty, you're in luck. For those of you who -- like me -- still take crap-loads of bad shots, there's even a category for you: The Cathy Church Remedial "Worst Photo" Award!
Although it seems like a fairly easy-going contest, you might want to have a look at the rules. And if you're interested in attending, check out the list of participating hotels/dive shops. I've been diving with both Sunset Divers and (most recently) Don Foster's, and I can say that both operations are professional and know where all the good stuff is.
