Bev Morgan is a diving pioneer. Enjoying a professional career that has spanned nearly 60 years, Morgan has:
- been a lifeguard;
- written books about dive safety;
- founded Diving Systems International, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial dive gear;
- hand-sewed his own wetsuits;
- sailed and dived throughout the world;
- started the company that ultimately became Body Glove;
- helped originate the first dive training programs in the U.S.;
- invented, tweaked, and improved numerous pieces of commercial and recreational dive gear;
- honored as one DEMA's first inductees into its scuba diving Hall of Fame.
The excellent Fathoms Magazine recently interviewed Morgan, and the results are fascinating. It's a lengthy read, but well worth it. What a cool dude.
