In December, I mentioned Diversitea, herbal teas that help reduce the fatigue from multiple dives. Owner Janine Davis claims the minerals in her teas help discharge nitrogen, balance blood pressure, prevent seasickness, soothe the bronchial system, and more.
Apparently, the tea was recently tested at Russia's

. In the study, two groups of mice were taken to about 600 feet in a hyperbaric chamber for 20 minutes, then brought to surface pressure. One group of mice was given Diversitea for 3 weeks before being submerged; the control group received only water. Ultimately, 86% of the mice who were given Diversitea survived, and only 30% of the control mice survived. Therefore, the researchers concluded that Diversitea appears to have a positive effect on the reduction of Nitrogen waste in the body.
Is it strange that drinking tea can have this effect AND taste good, too? Kinda. But who cares? Davis is waiting for your orders.
1. Hmmmm, that deserves a taste test!
