Scuba Geek

Are you a scuba geek? Or did you ever wonder Why Two High Tides a Day? or Why people breathing helium have the "Donald Duck" Effect when they talk? Then this is the site for you. Scubageek is a collection of articles on scuba science that are written with humor to get you past the math and physics.

This site is brought to you by the people at Reefnet, they make underwater data loggers which record depth and temperature on your dive. These are very useful to scientific, technical and free divers who use this information to accurately chart the dive. My friends and I use these "data loggers" to see how well we did our decompression curve, i.e. did we hold the stop at 20 feet or did we ascend too fast?, and to get the average depth of the site. Your dive computer does the same thing but these are more accurate and hold more information and are relatively cheap.

The new Sensus Ultra is what all my friends have been trying to buy for our up coming expedition to the Wilkes-Barre in Key West next month.
