Most people have probably heard that the tiny Caribbean island of Bonaire frequently hosts dive festivals. However, you may not have heard that Dive Into Adventure Bonaire 2006 has expanded its focus from snorkelers and divers. Scheduled for June 17 to 24, Dive Into Bonaire focuses on scuba diving, but also emphasizes other “eco-adventure activities,” such as windsurfing, ocean kayaking, and kiteboarding.

During the day, participants can participate in a number of dive-related activities like digital photography workshops, technical diving, and underwater videography. During the evening, participants can attend parties and presentations by featured speakers, including Philippe Cousteau and Captain Don.

Unfortunately, guests can’t just show up and expect to attend. Rather, you have to book your tour through a participating tour operator and pay a $75 registration fee for the event. However, prices start at $619 per person, which sounds like a reasonable price for a week’s worth of diving in one of the planet’s most ideal destinations!
