Do you get
seasick when you go out on the dive
boat? If so, then you might want to check out the Sun Herald’s run-down of motion sickness remedies:
-
Get plenty of rest the night before a boat ride.
-
Avoid eating greasy food shortly before the trip.
-
Do not drink alcohol to excess the night before.
-
Try over-the-counter remedies like ginger, licorice root, peppermint, Dramamine or bonine. Or try some Diversitea.
-
Get a “relief band,” which straps on your wrist. When it’s turned on, the batteries send pulses up your nerves which relieve the problems in many people.
-
Get a prescription to Scopace. The drug is available in both patch and tablet form.

1. I've tried most of these remedies. The Scop patch works great, but if you take it off earlier than you're supposed to you can get VERY sick.
