Recently, Toni Stroud, writing for the Chicago
Tribune, “did the ABCs” – Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, the desert isles of the Dutch Antilles.
So far south, they’re sometimes missing from Caribbean maps, Stroud complains that visiting the three islands in
succession is actually very difficult, despite the fact that they’re only about a 20 minute flight from each
other. Whether you’re visiting A, B, or C – or A, B, AND C, you lucky dog – you’ll
probably want to check out Stroud’s piece. It’s lengthy, but Stroud does an excellent job of explaining the
culture and the various hotspots on the separate islands. Unfortunately, not a lot is said about the diving, so
