Greenpeace Admits It's "Human"

coralErik recently pointed out Greenpeace’s newest gaffe: accidentally running aground at the Philippines’ UNESCO-protected Tubbataha Reef Marine Park, damaging “160 square meters of coral,” (which isn’t all that much, unless you’re aboard the world’s most well-known pro-environment ship.) For those interested, you’ll be happy to know that Greenpeace has officially apologized to both the Philippines and “mother nature” for “this thing [that] happened.” Greenpeace agreed to pay a $7000 fine but blamed the Philippine government for providing it with “inaccurate navigational charts.” Greenpeace stopped short, however, and did not blame Mother Nature for placing that blasted reef in the Rainbow Warrior II’s path.
