Yes, we know that it’s high time Divester got on the
ball and created our own podcast! And finally…we have! After reading Erik’s glowing review and reading some
of the great comments she’s left over the past few months, I thought for our first interview I’d talk to
Anat Grant of ScubaCore DVDs. I figured she’d make an interesting,
agreeable guest – and a willing guinea pig for our first podcast. Happily, she was all that and more: she was
funny, descriptive, and articulate – she really knows her stuff. Anat and her husband, Bobby, have only produced
three issues of their DVDs, and in only a few minutes of speaking with her – or only after a few minutes of
watching one of their DVDs – you know immediately: these are people you’re going to be hearing from in the
future. Give the podcast a listen – it’s only 17 minutes, 31 seconds long – and let us know what you
think.

1. I have to say that I generally regard podcasting as a bad idea. Whatever anyone has to say in 5min would take me 30s to read so it is usually a waste of time and effort.
I rarely listen to podcasts and when I do it is only because of the music (cool way to discover new artists). Only once did I actually listen to a talk show.
The way I see it - it is just too big of a gamble. Just think of how many times you've switched to another radio station when the music stopped.
With podcasting, unlike radio, you don't already have their attention (and some might be too lazy to switch). You have yet to lure them in to start a download so it has to be something seriously interesting to capture a substantial audience.
I'm not criticizing your show. It would be wrong of me if I did since I didn't even listen to it (yet). I'm just giving you an alternate opinion (hopefully not to depressing) ;)
If you think it's worth the effort then go for it.
