Another great (and I mean it, I LOVE these radio expeditions) dispatch from NPR about a couple of scientists studying the marine life in Patagonia. From legions of penguins to elephant seals, the scientists discover some fascinating facts about the wildlife down there. For example, did you know (oh, perhaps you did if you saw march of the Penguins) that many penguins who spend their lives down there return to the exact same place every year? Were you ware that penguins are monogamous and faithful, and that they have been soul (or at least nest) mates for 17 years? Well, give the story a listen. These dispatches are always good.

1. Some female penguins will exchange sex for rocks (http://www.sentex.net/~tntcomm/kwfn/Penguin.htm). To these "penguin prostitues," rocks are valuable for building homes, so they (evidently) consider the trade a fair one.
