OK, I watched this a bunch of times and I still can't decide. Is this scene of an octopus camoflaging itself against a tuft of sea weed on the ocean floor fake or real? Even though the slow-mo reverse makes it easier to see, I just can't say for sure. 2. This is real, it was done by an Octopus researcher. I remember seeing it on the Discovery channel.
I think Big Foot or the illusive Yeti is a better muse for Internet video fakery.

4. There is a good chance that is fake....but then again it is hard to believe some of the things chameleons can do as well.
Personally I think the octopus was hidden but not to the degree/effect the video would have you believe. As you can see it looks like a fade in effect. It seems real right up to that specific point.

6. I think it's real. There's so many creatures and places yet to be discovered in the ocean, especially in the octopus and squid category. Up until recently, there were no pictures of a live giant squid in the ocean. And, what about the coelacanth fish. They were thought to be extinct for millions of years until one was found in 1938.
Look at the beginning when the plant/coral is swaying in the current except for the part where the octopus is at.

7. Maybe if you guys did a little research on the octopus you would realize that this is completely possible and doesn't show one tenth of what these things can do. Do some research! It's amazing! They are even starting to walk on two of their legs. Do a search for "octopus video berkley" as in the college.
