Usually, I think we here at Divester do a great job of blogging scuba news in a timely fashion. However, somehow, for some reason, this one got away from us.
Last week, two Italian divers – Stefano Barbaresi and Stefania Mensa – started their attempt to break the record for longest time underwater: they want to spend 10 whole days blowing bubbles! Submerged near the Italian
If they complete their challenge – which they should, tomorrow – they will have spent 240 hours underwater, doubling the previous record of 120 hours set by Jerry Hall, and rendering Will Goodman’s preparations somehow moot.
[Thanks, Drew!]

1. Technically, I think they could consume pureed foods through a SCUDA (http://www.divester.com/2005/06/16/scuba-with-your-scuda/), but I guess that might be dangerous for 10 days. No sense dieing trying to break a record.
