How's this for something out of a Jules Verne novel? Sometime at the end of the year the first Trilobis 65 houseboat-submersible will supposedly be launched, offering passengers to enjoy a tasty meal as they gaze out at the underwater world. The ship was designed by Giancarlo Zema, to be a sort of "underwater Vegas" or so says the builder of the craft, Underwater Vehicles, Inc. of Seattle.
An older article in Popular Mechanics discusses some of the technology behind the Trilobis 65, a circuular vessel consistig of four levels connecteed by a spiral staircase. The lowest level is a submerged observation deck ten feet below the surface roomy enough to seat six people.

1. It's the sleeker version of the Jelly-fish 45 (http://www.divester.com/2005/07/19/jelly-fish-45-underwater-habitat/).
