An artist who simply calls himself Foots (check out the picture of him on the site...nice locks!) is building a large, underwater, multi-piece sculpture in Cayman Brac that is supposed to represent the Lost City of Atlantis. The plan calls for over 150,000 lbs of sculptures, which will be placed off the north shore of Cayman Brac in a large sandy area, at a dive site called Radar Reef. Sounds cool, eh? Might make for an interesting, albeit fake, dive experience. The initial phase of the building consists of a 10,000 pound sundial surrounded by 11 columns. Over the years, more sculptures will be added making it very city-like. It sounds cool, I think, but certainly could end up being very hokey. And one wonders how many people will dive it and wonder if it's real.

1. I think it is great. I have always heard of the lost city and now whether created or not I have a chance to dive it! The imagination and creation being used for this project is Phenomenal. Whether it is an artificial dive site or not it is going to be great and make some neat pictures. I can wait to see it and then every time I go back to see the difference of it in my pictures will be really cool. The first chance I have I will be booking with brac reef beach resort to have the chance of a lifetime to swim the lost city of Atlantis.
