The
Dominica table at OceanFest was, without a doubt, my favorite.
The people were the friendliest; the brochure packs were the thickest; and the information I received was the most comprehensive.
I’ve looked through my
Dominica brochure repeatedly since last weekend, and I’m almost certain it’s my next dive destination.
Dominica is a 29-mile by 16-mile volcanic island, covered in rain forests and waterfalls, boasting Morne Trois Piton National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to hiking, kayaking, and rafting, Dominica features whale and dolphin adventures, and what sounds like some spectacular diving with a variety of operators. If you want a narrative description of the island, read Nature’s Island, which compares Dominica to PNG. Have any of you ever visited Dominica? (Now, I just need a raise. And some more time off.)
