HOW TO: Shoot an Underwater Pano

diversErik is a big fan of panos – he makes his own; he blogs panos at Gadling, and he blogs panos on Divester.  Until recently, I thought the closest a mere mortal like me could come to producing a pano was to take several photos of an area and scotch tape the pictures together.  (Admittedly, I’ve done this, and I produced a passable “working-man’s pano” of the beach at Buffels Baai, South Africa.)

On my (growing) list of things to do is learn how to produce my own scotch-tape-less panos.  But where to start?  Well, outsidethelines.com gives explicit instructions for creating underwater panos, including how to prepare the equipment, shoot the actual pano, and edit the image.  Visit them, and let me know if they forgot something crucial.
