168 Hours Underwater

Goodman's fingersI love diving.  I really do.  Any day I can get wet is a good day.  But I am not insane.  Will Goodman is insane.  This Is Hertfordshire reports that Goodman is gunning for the world record for the longest-ever dive; he plans to stay under water for an entire week.  The previous record was only 120 hours.  Sheesh.  Amateur.

To complete the 168-hour challenge, Goodman claims he will have to learn to sleep, eat and, uh, relieve himself underwater.  Other challenges include: keeping hydrated; preventing his skin from pruning (I am not making this up!); and keeping his mind occupied.  Consequently, he will spend much of the week teaching lessons, reading books, and playing poker and scrabble underwater.  I guess he will also be applying plenty of moisturizer.
