Following up on a previous posting about a shark attack that rattled a Brit, CDNN has a different perspective on the same story. While The Sun reported that the shark inexplicably went nuts, CDNN suggests the boat operator antagonized things. After the operator lured the shark to the boat and then provoked it for the guest's pleasure (think: photo-ops), the annoyed shark "viciously and deliberately damaged" the operator's equipment. Subsequently, the operator "brutally mutilated the animal for damaging his buoy and sinking the cage." Wow, who's the wild animal?
According to a completely different cage operator whose friend was attacked by a shark in a separate incident, there's no "logical connection between the throwing of bait" and sharks attacking boat operators. Hmm. I think there might be some causality there. What do you think?
